New Formula Palmer Audi

I guess some times 13 really is an unlucky number. That’s the number of years Formula Palmer Audi managed to “prepare” drivers for the F1 stage before it died off.

That’s right folks, one of the most charistmatic stages of a racing driver’s life has been closed off and for quite an unpleasant reason.

The man behind the racing at Formula Palmer Audi is former F1 driver, Jonathan Palmer. With the new rules that the FIA has readied for the Formula 1 championship new things happened pretty much everywhere.
The new rules have had such a massive effect on the automotive industry that VW have changed their mind about a possible F1 team. Further more, the FIA also announced that it will be bringing back the Formula 2 competition.

It’s this F2 series that will now be taking up most of Jonathan Palmer’s time. In fact he reckons he’s going to be so busy running that series that he won’t have the time or resources to send into the series that wears his name.
At the end of the line, Formula 2 will most likely prove to be a better trainer for F1 racing drivers than Palmer Audi Racing did but us petrolheads will not forget the series.

The Marussia Virgin 2011 F1 Car comes with AP Racing 4-disc brake calipers and pads Hitco carbon pot, and a Virgin Racing aluminum construction with a precision 7-speed transmission with longitudinally mounted inside. The Marussia Virgin 2011 F1 Car also electronically controlled hydraulic differential, and AP Racing clutch.

Red Bull 2011 F1 Car Racing has Launched today at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit near Valencia, Spain, the new Red Bull 2011 F1 car called the RB7. The Red Bull 2011 F1 Car Racing features the same high nose as all the others racers that will compete in the 2011 FIA Formula 1 World Championship, together with a new rear wing and of course, KERS. This year, the Red Bull 2011 F1 car will wear a few other sponsors’ badges, including Total, Rauch, Pepe Jeans, Casio, Singha Beer, FXDD, Geox, Pirelli, Alpinestars, Platform Computing and Siemens.
Adrian Newey said: “It’s always a special moment when a car runs for the first time. The big challenge for us this year was the reintroduction of the KERS system. It’s always a challenge to find solutions, which don’t compromise the aerodynamics of the car. This season, with McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes all having KERS, we need to get it to work, simply for performance off the line.”

Sauber C30 2011 F1 Car has Launched in Valencia. The Sauber C30 2011 F1 car is powered by a 2,398 cc Ferrari 056 naturally aspirated V8, 90° cylinder angle engine mated to a Ferrari 7-speed quick-shift carbon gearbox, longitudinally mounted, with a carbon-fiber clutch. The Sauber C30 2011 F1 car has a carbon-fiber monocoque chassis with a upper and lower wishbones (front and rear) suspension, with inboard springs and dampers actuated by pushrods (Sachs Race Engineering).
 
 

The Sauber C30 2011 F1 car no longer has the F-duct and the adjustable front wing as they were banned for this year championship. The rear wing of the Sauber C30 2011 F1 car can not be adjusted by the driver and the new racer has been equipped with KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System). Visually, the Sauber C30 2011 F1 car comes with a raised front, slender waist, compact rear, new rollhoop, downward-sloping engine cover, and wing mounts front and rear. The Sauber C30 2011 F1 car measures 4,935 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, 1,000 mm in height and weighs 640 kg (incl. driver, tank empty).
