CADILLAC Aera Concept 2010 In Los Angeles

The Cadillac Aera Concept won the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show Design Challenge, tying with Smart and besting entries from seven other automakers including Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Nissan, Toyota and Maybach. GM Advanced Design has now won the honor more times than any other design team; this is its third victory since 2005.
Cadillac Aera’s body utilizes a 3D lattice, mono-formed frame that was designed to be similar to configurations found consistently in nature. The Design Challenge is part of the Design Los Angeles automobile designers’ conference and has evolved into an integral element of the Los Angeles Auto Show. Design Los Angeles connects those working in the design industry with well-known automotive design industry leaders.
The Cadillac Aera’s body structure is formed from unique, alloy-utilizing, semi-solid freeform manufacturing, creating a naturally strong, extremely lightweight frame. All major body parts, including interior components, are essentially “grown” into a single part lattice structure. The interior is crafted with an ultra-light recyclable polymer that allows for HVAC channels, fully adjustable seating, storage and comfort features all in one mono-form structure. Generous storage space accommodates luggage for two people.

General Motors and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration have announced a recall of certain 2009 and 2010 model-year Cadillac CTS models. The notice covers around 50,000 units worldwide, 11,147 of which were sold in the States.

According to NHTSA, jam nuts on the vehicles’ suspension could come loose over time, eventually allowing the toe link to completely separate from the vehicle. If this happens, the rear wheel could turn in or out, making the vehicle difficult to steer. GM says that owners may hear a metallic clanking noise in the rear of the vehicle as a warning before this happens.

So far, no accidents or injuries have been reported as a result of the defect, though NHTSA warns that if left untreated, owners could experience a loss of control.
GM says that it will install new jam nuts free of charge and replace the rear suspension toe link as necessary. A recall schedule hasn’t been established yet, but owners should hear something soon. Hit the jump for the full recall notice.

  • Getting inspiration from Mercedes Benz and Porsche, Cadillac has planned to roll out its new CTS-V Black Diamond Edition by March this year. Among some of its remarkable features is the silver highlights that gives the car an impressive look.
  • Only a while ago, Porsche had introduced its new series of black, Boxster 5 Black Edition and Porsche 911 Black edition. Mercedes have had introduced its black edition long ago.
  • Cadillac will get a triple-coat black paint. And the silver highlight on the dark shade is expected to pop out viewers eyes in an instant. Exaggeration apart, it will actually look impressive.
  • The car maker believes that the paint that has been manufactured through a meticulous process is not similar to the metallic paint that most cars use. It’s different, It’s dark.
  • For the manual transmission model, it will burn a hole in your pocket of $69,190, and auto transmission for $70,490.

2012 Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept

Cadillac XTS 2012 is scheduled for spring 2011. He is based in XTS Platinum version of the concept MFWD which opened to critical acclaim at the 2010 North American International Auto Show. Is likely to replace the Cadillac STS and DTS sedans.
The concept XTS Platinum is said to be close enough to be in the form of production. It is based on the same platform as the midsize Buick LaCrosse. Choice XTS engine production has not been officially announced, but the concept is powered by a plug-in using a hybrid powertrain 3.6-liter V6, and at least one electric motor and a lithium-ion . Cadillac says it produces 350 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque.
Exterior highlights of a smooth evolution of the current theme style Cadillac, with 20-inch wheels and headlamps and vertical taillights. But the real news is inside, where the concept XTS provides insight into what Cadillac is considering for future products. Based on a “dead front” design, the dashboard is black until the car is on and light up the screens. The dashboard extracts a new artistic philosophy of integration, minimizing the classic buttons and switches, and blends easily into the front doors.
If the concept of Platinum is an indication, in 2012 Cadillac XTS is committed to providing a new direction and all the necessary elements of a modern, luxury automotive prescriptive. Come back later for a complete review of the impressions XTS deteriorated and buying advice.

2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid Review

The Cadillac Escalade SUV is one of the most popular luxury throughout. However, only about 14 MPG in town. Pilots who are interested in saving money at the pump, or to be environmentally friendly, may want to opt for the 2010 Cadillac Escalade hybrid. This vehicle is more environmentally friendly, but if you’re buying it for purely economic reasons, can not save money for a while unless gas prices have risen sharply. The Escalade Hybrid is available in two trim levels, and can be purchased as a rear or all-wheel drive vehicle. This car reviews will help you decide if the Escalade hybrid is the vehicle of your choice.

Specifications Of Cadillac Escalade Hybrid
Pricing: car pricing starts at $73,425 MSRP and $68,652 invoice
Engine: 6.0-liter V8 engine and two 60-kilowatt motors, for a total of 332 horsepower
The exterior of 2010 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid is a bit like the classic model. The main differences between the two is the decals placed on the hybrid vehicle. This vehicle is very great and remarkable. Exterior features include xenon headlights, a roof rack, sunroof, 22-inch wheels, rear parking aid and lifting wages. The Platinum model also upgraded LED headlights, power retracting running boards, and Magnetic Ride Control suspension.

In 2010, the interior Cadillac Escalade Hybrid has many standard features, including power front seats with heating, cooling and memory control driver, three-zone automatic temperature, leather seats, Bluetooth , OnStar and a navigation system with traffic updates in real time. There is also a rear entertainment system with video screen down, surround sound Bose audio system with six-disc CD changer, MP3 capability and satellite radio. Platinum trim adds heated and cooled cupholders, two headrest mounted video monitors, a heated steering wheel and second-row seats with power versions. The seats are comfortable inside, with enough head and leg room for all passengers, but the highest. The third row of seats have less legroom. There is enough room for shopping in the trunk, but the third row of seats can be folded (but not flat) for more space. Both the first and second rows of seats can be removed for cargo space is very important.

In 2010, Cadillac Escalade Hybrid offers better gas mileage than gasoline Escalade, but not sacrifice a little in the way of performance. It can carry a payload of 1369 pounds and can tow up to 5800 pounds. This transmission has two modes: a continuously variable transmission for most driving, and a second mode that features four fixed gear for use in transporting or towing a heavy load. The large size makes it more difficult to drive, but the brakes are powerful and the vehicle has a smooth ride in most of the blows.

Cadillac 2011 CTS-V Sport Wagon Car Concept

Hyperbole and deceit are unfortunately common for a final, and disturbing, effective marketing of all kinds. You can not breathe the MacBook Air and most fear is gone, when it comes to Wonder Bread. This trend is a lie is as obvious as the automotive industry and elsewhere. Take for example the Mercury Grand Marquis (say “If we are not mediocre Marquis really nice” would have sold little, too) and the Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon.
But wait. While the CTS Sport Wagon every day could have a liberal definition of the word “sport”, see numbers for the V: 0 to 60 km / h in 4.3 seconds, 0-100 in 9.7, and the fourth mile in 12.6 to 116 km / h, braking from 70 mph to 0 in 155 feet, 0.88 g on the skidpad and a top speed of Cadillac, said it was right around 190 kilometers per hour.
Figures like these raise two questions: “how” and “Why?” “How” answer is simple: by installing all the same songs that make the CTS-V sedan and coupe as great, 556 hp supercharged V -8, magnetorheological shock absorbers, Brembo brakes and 19-inch Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 rubber trailer. “Why” is also easy to answer, albeit a little less illuminating: we have no idea Flippin’. Cadillac does not really seem to know either. sales projections are, say, conservative. As the Bugatti Veyron, the CTS-V car makes no sense. Furthermore, as the Veyron, is impressive. We can not say enough: This is a truck 556-horsepower with the rear seats in place, the Bernese Lords of more than 25 cubic feet of cargo space, folding seats and Berner Appendices 33 other cubes.
This vehicle is not just putting numbers sports car, it feels like one too. The progressive and communicative steering. Chassis, with a weight redistributed to the rear of a single key (compared to coupe and sedan), is balanced and very obedient servant.
And then there’s the standard manual transmission on a break! (Buy now:. Well equipped car of this generation will be convertible Hemi ‘Cuda) The clutch shifter is light and linear, although both are a bit too much for the office than a little fight with his hairy chest performance . Debauchery V-8 of the axes of the car toward the horizon at a speed that seems to blur the line could stretch from the ceiling of the saloon in a V-shaped car completely on their own. I just want a smile for fear of exhaust for the coupe and is mounted in the center of two-gun configuration.
Speaking of court employees who many see as less attractive than the hatchback. The park side by side, and the car looks sleek and elegant compared to the short croup. And although years of the BMW M5 has tarnished the shock of a superstar sedan, the extreme rarity of the car V is the only competitor to our shores, at least the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG, which is a latest generation vehicles the road today.
This car is the embodiment of the C / D ethos: it’s fast, fun and practical. And bearing in mind that you can take the family, fat, and an evening of binge Depot home with equal ease, not to mention the fact that this is one of the old cars in 30 years, its base price of $ 64,290 is probably reasonable. All about the CTS-V wagon feels like a sports car, but a look in the mirror reminds the driver to Sport Wagon. Ladies and gentlemen, raise your glass to truth in advertising.

2012 Cadillac SRX to get 3.6L V6

http://dailycar.info/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/06-2011-cadillac-srx.jpg
General Motors may have pulled the plug on the Cadillac SRX Turbo, but fear not, we will not be stuck with the anemic 3.0-liter V6 as the Caddy’s sole powerplant. A report from GM Inside News states that the 2012SRX will use the automaker’s well-received 3.6-liter V6 with direct injection – the unit currently found in theCTS sedan.

Not only is the 3.6-liter V6 more powerful than the outgoing 2.8-liter turbocharged six, it will likely be tweaked to improve overall fuel efficiency when it makes its way under the SRX’s hood. Known internally as “LFX,” this engine currently produces 304 horsepower in the CTS, though rumors have suggested that power will be increased for use in the larger crossover. GM Inside News also reports that the SRX will get a few other tweaks for the 2012 model year, including a heated steering wheel.

Cadillac CTS-V unveils Black Diamond Edition Overview

http://dailycar.info/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/02-2011-cadillac-cts-v-black-diamond.jpg
General Motors has just unveiled its new take on the mighty Cadillac CTS-V called the Black Diamond Edition. Available on all iterations of the supercharged beast (sedan, coupe and wagon), the appearance package dips the company’s muscle-bound luxury fleet in new, proprietary SpectraFlair paint. The final product is achieved through a three-coat process that includes flakes of aluminum encapsulated in magnesium fluoride. The result is a paint that’s as gorgeous as it will undoubtedly prove impossible to repair.
This is not a car that’s to be left anywhere near a shopping cart.
http://dailycar.info/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/03-2011-cadillac-cts-v-black-diamond.jpg
The paint is joined by a set of Satin Graphite 19-inch wheels and yellow Brembo brake calipers outside. Slide yourself indoors and meet an interior that boasts microfiber suede Recaro seats and Midnight Sapele wood accents littered throughout the cabin. GM says that the whole package is meant to invoke images of a well-tailored tuxedo.
http://dailycar.info/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/04-2011-cadillac-cts-v-black-diamond.jpg
Prices start at $69,190 for manual transmission models and $70,490 for the automatic, including destination. Those figures mark a $4,850 bump over the standard CTS-V, and buyers can expect some fluctuation depending on whether they opt for the sedan, coupe or wagon body style. Follow the jump for the official press release and to see GM folks explain the Black Diamond Edition in a video.
