2012 Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package

Lexus has made the Lexus LFA Nurburgring package, a series of aerodynamic properties, suspension tuning and revisions of the 4.8-liter V10 engine that provides more supercar based on track profile. Shown in public for the first time in 2011-the Geneva Motor Show. To ensure the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package maintains its acceleration of 3.7 seconds from zero to 62 mph, despite the increased drag, the V10 engine has been revised to increase the maximum power by 10bhp to 562bhp. Changing times in the six-speed sequential transmission is just 0.15 seconds.
 

To sharpen the circuits driving the car even more performance by increasing support for high-speed Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package introduced amendments and additions to the carbon fiber reinforced plastic multiple keys (CFRP) components. These include a wider front spoiler, side wing deflectors, a rear spoiler and a rear spoiler duck fixed.
Exterior colour choices are restricted to matte black, black, white or orange, with interiors finished in black and red, black and purple and all-black. Cars delivered in Europe will feature a carbon fibre centre console and door trims, with carbon fibre sports seats finished in Alcantara.

Latest Edition of LLatest Editionus IS 350C F Sports Car

Lexus IS 350C F Sport Special Edition which will arrive at dealerships across the U.S. towards the end of February.Only a total of 175 exemplars will be produced, each of them featuring special elements like 19 inch dark graphite alloys wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires, shock absorbers from Bilstein, lowered suspension springs, a sway bar that helps reduce body roll and Bi-Xenon High Intensity Headlamps with incorporated LEDs.

The limited run hardtop convertible comes in a choice of two new colors (Starfire Pearl or Obsidian), and features bi-Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, special exterior badging and 19-inch alloys in a dark graphite finish, wrapped around in 225/35 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. Heated and ventilated black-red leather sport seats with red stitching plus a new wood trim spice up the cabin.

The interior is padded with black and red leather surfaces, and both heated and cooled seats are standard. Navigation is also part of the Special Edition package, encompassing things like a rearview camera, Lexus Enform and the full host of XM infotainment features. Mercedes and Audi plan to fight Lexus with diesel power News

In having beaten the Japanese at Lexus before, the Germans got a taster of how good it feels to lead in the U.S. market’s sales.

Back then, Lexus sales fell due to the immense Toyota recall but this time, Mercedes and Audi have come up with a plan to beat them on level grounds.

The idea is simple, Mercedes and Audi are to come up with something new, something that Lexus can’t compete with properly. And guess what that is supposed to be.

That’s right folks, Mercedes and Audi have decided to bring more diesel engines to the U.S. As some rejoice, the exact figures call for the two German companies to raise diesel sales in the U.S. by some 50%.
That sounds quite impressive but very doable since diesel sales are relatively small in America, particularly in the luxury segment where the three compete. Now, whereas Lexus’ hybrid models may manage better figures than mild hybrid installments from the Germans they will struggle to achieve better than some of the best refined diesel engines out there.

The solution seems so appropriate it’s unbelievable, it’s got that “why didn’t we think of this before” stamp all over it.

Lexus GS-F 2013 Review and Specifications

The Japanese market is preparing for the launch of the 2013 Lexus GS-F, a model that will take place on vehicles like the BMW M6 and Mercedes C63 AMG.It is not the first time we see something on 2013 Lexus GS-F, but this time its official: Will the 2013 Lexus GS-F version will be launched with a new generation of sets of GS are disclosed in the course of 2012.

Expect the future GS-F to combine design elements from the future generation GS and F elements from the IS-F sports sedan. The difference between a standard GS model and the GS-F will be made by a hood raised in the center to make room for the V8 engine. The interior will get sports seats, aluminum-rimmed main gauges, unique steering-wheel treatment, and, of course, the F logo showcased on the steering wheel, rear-center console, and outer seat cushions.The engine line-up will include a new V6 engine and a 3.5 liter engine that will replace the current 4.6-liter V-8.

Lexus LFA teaching a model about donuts

Nissan may choose to use its Juke to square off with swimsuit-clad supermodels but Lexus takes a different route to interact with the pretty ladies… a circular one. Photographer Yu Tsai wanted a shot of a Lexus LFAperforming a donut around model Rianne Ten Haken. He could’ve simply spent some time playing in Photoshop, but instead decided to capture the real thing.


Performing a perfect donut without bumping into the scanitly clad star of the photo shoot requires serious skill. Rhys Millen, son of Rod and nephew of Steve, lends his talented hands and feet so this stunt goes off without a hitch. You can tell that Millen has serious skills because they say a car will follow your eyes… and somehow Rhys was able to avert his gaze from Ten Haken. You, on the other hand, can stare wherever you like when you watch the clip posted after the jump.

Paris Hilton 30th birthday she receives Lexus LFA

Jealousy is an unbecoming trait… but sometimes it’s hard to ignore. You’re going to have to work extra hard to bury those feelings after we tell you what Paris Hilton has apparently received for her 30th birthday.

Okay, just tilt your head back and breathe. Hilton’s LFA still wears its factory yellow paint, though we wouldn’t be surprised to see (and hear) it roaming the streets of LA in a shade of pink very soon. According to the Daily Mail, Hilton’s 29-year-old boyfriend, entrepreneur Cy Waits, picked up the V10-powered Lexus two-door and surprised the heiress ahead of her birthday celebration.

Lexus Nurburgring version of the LFA to Geneva

The high priced and more luxurious relative of the Toyota family has announced that they are preparing to hit the Geneva Motor Show with a vengeance.

That’s because it’ll be that show, the one where they unveil the Lexus LFA Nurburgring edition.

Just like you probably would’ve guessed by now, the Nurburgring edition is nothing more than a track focused version of Japan’s latest supercar.
In becoming one of the lucky few to get a Lexus LFA, you join an exclusive club of 500 people around the world.

In buying the Nurburgring pack for it you get private access to the suite of that club with a few friends, as just 50 units of this package will ever be built.
The cost of all this exclusivity comes in at $70.000 dollars and you can add some $20.000 if you want the Lexus LFA Nurburgring painted in a Black Matte finish.
Just as with the “base” car, the LFA Nurburgring doesn’t really offer any sort of value for money. Apart from the stunning rip off of another $20.000 for a coat of paint, there’s another rip off in what you’re getting for the other $70.000.

What you get is about 10 extra horsepower from that amazing V10 engine, a few aerodynamic revisions to help downforce and a tad faster shift times from the sequential gearbox.
But then again, exclusivity never really came cheap so paying $90.000 for a kit on a $375.000 car is nothing short of a bargain as long as you and another 49 in the world get to have it.

Lexus to finally debut LFA in Geneva Details

Typically, when an automaker launches a new car, or even a variant on an existing one, we get a chance to see it up close at a major auto show within a matter of months at most. But it will have been the better part of a year by the time we see the Lexus LFA with the Nürburgring package in the flesh.
The track-focused version of the Toyota luxury division’s supercar was released all the way back in May 2010, but Lexus has only now announced that it will make its public debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March of this year. For a quick refresher, the ‘Ring edition LFA upgrades the 4.8-liter V10 by ten horses to 562 and drops the shift times down by 50 miliseconds to 150. It also gets an upgraded aero package, all for a $70,000 premium over the “stock” LFA’s $375k sticker price.

With only 50 of the total run of 500 offered with the package, this could be one of our only chances to see the track-prep’d LFA in the flesh, so watch this space in a few weeks’ time for live shots from the Geneva Palexpo show floor.

New Lexus At 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon Custom Car Model

Lexus has show their custom model such as Lexus CT200h F Sport, Gazoo Racing’s Lexus LFA, the Lexus IS F Club Circuit Sports Racer and the IS F Club Performance Accessory range at 2011 Tokyo Auto Salon. Although the public launch is still a few months, the new CT 200h unveiled F-Sport special way, with a wide range of sporting accessories including alloy wheels, body kit by Modellista and Recaro sport seats. It was joined by two new versions of the ultra-high performance IS F: SCC-R (Circuit Racer Sport Club) and Club Performance Accessories.

The CCS-R is faithful to the tradition of sedans track light with carbon fiber panels for the body, including front and rear wings, hood and trunk, and a cage without building new frame and polycarbonate glass. Inside there is a greater use of carbon fiber dash, center console and door panels, while the details of the race to extend a safety harness six points and the diameter of the cutting wheel paddles. The car is performance engineering, too, with racing suspension, brakes, cooling and exhaust, plus a mechanical limited-slip differential and wrought alloys shod with slicks. Lexus RX 450H Hybrid SUV Review

The Lexus RX 450h is SUV, a big luxury sedan, or a full-size pickup truck, respect their wishes, but make sure those vehicles become far more efficient than they have been in the past. It first luxury crossover powered by a hybrid drive system from Lexus.

As a full hybrid, the RX 450h can operate in electric only, gas engine only, or combine the power of both. The RX 400h is powered by a muscular version of the gas-electric hybrid powertrain introduced in North America by the Toyota Prius in 2001. It was built around a 3.3-liter V6 gasoline engine that could develop 270 horsepower. The hybrid drivetrain is said to offer V8 performance with four-cylinder fuel economy. All that power is fed through a six-speed Multi-mode automatic transmission with sequential shift control. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations are available.

 

The 2010 Lexus RX 450h is a midsize luxury SUV available in front- or all-wheel-drive versions. It comes in one trim level, with standard and optional equipment levels similar to those of the RX 350. Standard equipment includes 18-inch wheels, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, keyless ignition/entry, 10-way power front seats, a power tilt/telescoping steering wheel, wood interior trim, sliding and reclining second-row seats and a nine-speaker audio system with a six-CD changer and an auxiliary audio jack.

The RX 350 comes standard with front- and rear-seat side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and dual front knee bags. Standard stability- and traction-control systems as well as antilock brakes with brake assist are on hand to help you avoid an accident in the first place.

CEC announces Lexus LFA customization program details

Los Angeles-based tuner CEC has announced a new partnership with Lexus North America to create a tuning program for the Lexus LFA. Limited to just three vehicles, these unique supercars will feature a variety of enhancements created specifically for each customer. “We believe these three CEC Tuner Edition LFAs will be the most expensive and rarest of all the LFA supercars that Lexus will manufacturer and sell worldwide,” said Sherif Yassa, Vice President of CEC.
 

Thanks to the technical innovations that went into building the LFA, the CEC upgrades will mostly be limited to aesthetics. “We looked at the LFA and what Lexus engineers had done, and knew it would be crazy to try and improve it from a performance or engineering standpoint,” said Claus Ettensberger, founder of CEC. Even so, the tuner has managed to squeeze an extra 10 horsepower from the 4.8-liter V10 and trimmed shift times to .15 of a second.
