It’s a concept car for the road and Peugeot’s racy and beautifully proportioned RCZ is a real surprise.It’s comes in one well-specified trim grade with each of the three engine configurations.Standard features include cruise control/speed limiter, six-speaker AM/FM radio with MP3 capable CD player, Bluetooth compatible hands-free kit, USB connector, a jack socket, and audio streaming function.

One more we called this a awesome car because the Diesel Car voted it Sportscar of the Year, while in the Auto Express awards, the Peugeot RCZ won the Best Design and Best Coupe titles.the rear makes use of an ‘active’ spoiler which is either deployed manually or automatically. Once you hit 85 km/h it will deploy by 19 degrees and further extends to 34 degrees once you hit 155km/h

From the outside it’s rather hard to fault the design. It’s French, but it’s not your typical Peugeot elongated quirky design that polarises opinion. A few may not like the look of this car, but most will. It’s gorgeous from the front, rear, side and pretty much any other angle as well.

There’s beautifully trimmed (faux) leather across the dashtop, replete with contrast stitching, plus chrome-bordered air vents, a shapely, flat-bottomed wheel, gorgeous instruments and brushed steel highlights on the door pulls. The front seats are simply fantastic with plenty of comfort and good bolstering, plus there’s heaps of headroom, though entry for very tall people is a little effort to stoop underneath the silver rails.

Peugeot 508 SW

With sharp looks and plenty of space in a well equipped package, there’s much to enjoy about the new Peugeot 508. But could this be the most likeable version yet? 

The 140bhp 2.0-litre HDi diesel is set to be the range’s best seller, blending strong pace and economy. On the move, it’s also very refined, with Peugeot’s engineers ensuring the driver 

is cocooned in silence. 

The 2.0-litre engine suits the 508, offering unflustered, easy pace, with its 320Nm of torque delivered low in the rev range. That makes the car an accomplished cruiser. Drive it sensibly and you might get close to the official economy figure of 58.9mpg, too. 

 

On more challenging roads, supple suspension provides a comfortable ride. The steering is well weighted and delivers decent feedback. And while the six-speed manual gearbox could shift more accurately, the driving experience is easily good enough to rival the class leaders. 

Inside, the materials have a high-quality feel and everything is neatly laid out, although the lack of centre console cubbies is an oversight. What’s obvious is the feeling of space – particularly on this SW estate model – with plenty of room in the rear.

Even taller adults will be comfortable, and the airy impression is enhanced by a panoramic glass roof that comes with the Allure model – the finishing touch on an  impressive all-rounder.

Peugeot 908 Le Mans racer Details

In taking a break from Formula 1 racer releases for the 2011 season we get something I find slightly more fascinating, the latest information on a Le Mans endurance racer.

It’s from the French at Peugeot, it’s called the 908 and it’s been launched quite some time after the main competitor for the endurance race released their latest effort.

Ever since it’s been released for the first time we’ve known the Peugeot 908 completely meets the 2011 regulations.
That means it has a smaller engine, a shark fin on the engine cover and a smaller engine which comes with a drop of about 150 horsepower from the previous car.

The thing is, despite these changes, Peugeot promises that their new endurance racer will perform. In taking away some benefits, the regulations make for improvements in other areas.
This is where Peugeot speaks about better handling despite less downforce. This has been achieved by widening the front wheels to the maximum specifications just as the rear ones.
That makes for more front end grip while not affecting fuel economy (because they have less drag from the downforce).

Another plus the Peugeot engineers speak of for the 908 is in how the top speed of the new car is relatively similar to the previous generation despite the lack of power.

Review 2012 Peugeot 308 Hatchback Review

Peugeot will present its fresh line 308, in next month’s Geneva Motor Show, Peugeot enters the 2011 model year with few subtle changes in style, revised engines and the introduction of an alternative fuel-and-micro-hybrid 100 HDi g / km CO2 emissions low.

The fresh alloy wheel designs, new brand logos and some trim changes on certain models complete the exterior make over.Other improvements include the fitment of 16-inch wheels on ultra low rolling resistance tires on certain models, and the optimization of all available diesel and petrol engine options.
