2013 Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid Review & Specifications



Volvo Cars and Swedish energy supplier Vattenfall will be unveiling the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid Concept at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, and will be launched on the market in 2012.


When powered solely by electricity, Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid Concept has a maximum range of 50 km. costs of operating the car totals 1200 km. Emissions of carbon dioxide will average 49 grams per km (EU combined) and fuel consumption of 1.9 liters per 100 kilometers. The cost of the battery: the plug-in hybrid will be more expensive to buy a Volvo V60 with a conventional combustion engine. On the other hand, fuel costs will be a third compared to a conventional combustion engine. The operating cost for electricity in Sweden was calculated to about 2.50 kronor per 10 km. The exact cost varies from one market to another.
At Volvo Cars, work progresses on the Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid in parallel with development of the Volvo C30 Electric, which runs entirely on electricity.
