The Japanese have no shortage of exciting cars that are produced by their own manufacturers. However, some clients still want the exclusivity and luxury a European brand offers. This was the case with the BMW Perormance Unlimited we showed you earlier in August and now the Ferrari California Limited Edition created by Cornes & Co.
Japan’s biggest Ferrari importer over the past 30 years, Cornes & Co, offers only ten examples in three pre-determined color schemes: four in white over black, three in red over black and three in black over cream. The Limited Edition Ferrari California takes the first front-engined V8 convertible and garnishes it with special touches like carbon fiber rocker panels, door handles and fuel cap. The most significant features are the new five-spoke diamond polished forged wheels with red prancing horse center caps bolted down by a set of titanium bolts. The California has a top speed of 193 mph (310 km/h) and it can accelerate from zero to 62 mph (100 km/h) in under 4 seconds. The Limited Edition will have the same 4.3-liter V8 as the factory model, delivering 450 hp to the rear wheels.
This exclusivity will cost you though: ¥26,500,000, to be precise, equivalent to about $320,000, or about ¥3 million ($36,000) over the standard model.
